CONTROL ENGINEERING LTD is an established electrical and electronic manufacturing company based in Witham, Essex, United Kingdom. The company specializes in designing and building control systems, panels, and related electrical solutions for a variety of industrial clients.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Wireman/Panel Builder role located in Witham. The role involves assembling & wiring electrical control panels and related equipment according to technical drawings, wiring schedules, and specifications. Day-to-day tasks include:
- Laying out components
- Routing and terminating cables
- Performing electrical wiring and panel wiring
- Checking work for accuracy and compliance with standards

The Wireman/Panel Builder will work closely with engineers and other workshop staff to troubleshoot wiring issues, assist with modifications, and ensure panels are completed on time and to required quality. The role may also involve occasional support for installation, commissioning, and maintenance activities at customer sites.

Qualifications
- Strong practical skills in Electrical Wiring, with the ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and schematics.
- Experience with Panel Wiring and Cabling, including routing, termination, and labeling to industry standards.
- Previous experience in panel building, industrial wiring, or electrical assembly within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Attention to detail, commitment to safety procedures, and ability to work accurately with minimal supervision.
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and workshop colleagues.
- Familiarity with UK electrical regulations and best practices for industrial control systems is an advantage.
