Wiring Harness Technician
Electrical & Electronics Technician
Supporting the build, testing, and integration of advanced electric vehicle (EV) systems in a prototype and low-volume manufacturing environment.
Working hands-on, you’ll undertake electrical assembly, wiring harness manufacture, diagnostics, fault-finding, and system integration—collaborating closely with engineering, production, and test teams to ensure high-quality vehicle programmes.
Responsibilities
The role requires:
- Building and integrating electrical/electronic systems from engineering drawings, schematics, and harness documentation
- Manufacturing, modifying, installing, and repairing wiring looms and harnesses
- Performing precision soldering on PCBs, connectors, and wiring assemblies
- Conducting electrical diagnostics, troubleshooting, and fault-finding using technical test equipment
- Supporting prototype vehicle builds, production, and vehicle integration programmes
- Maintaining accurate build records, documentation, and quality traceability

Requirements
Candidates should have:
- Experience in automotive, motorsport, aerospace, EV, or high-performance engineering environments
- Strong hands-on expertise in wiring harness and loom building, modification, and repair
- Proven skills in electrical/electronic diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairing systems
- Precision soldering experience on PCBs and wiring assemblies
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
- Exceptional attention to detail, with a quality-focused and methodical working style
