The Position
The Officer will be responsible for:
- Identifying and maximising opportunities for significant participation growth in Surrey
- Driving forward all Women & Girls participation programmes
- Ensuring cricket achieves its ambition of becoming the most inclusive team sport
Dual Location Options This role can be based at:
- Kia Oval (London)
- George Abbot School (Guildford)
Key Responsibilities

Programme Management
- Programme-manage the Women & Girls Operational Plan, overseeing all initiatives run by SCF
- Lead the Women & Girls cross-functional working group

Club & School Engagement
- Identify target clubs and work with them to create new sustainable Girls' sections
- Link clubs with local schools and support the introduction of Chance to Shine coaching for school-day cricket development
- Introduce national programmes and initiatives to ensure these new Girls' sections remain sustainable

Women’s Cricket Development
- Target clubs for new Women’s sections and support their introduction and development
- Lead on all new Women & Girls initiatives proposed by the ECB and other stakeholders

Strategic Leadership
- Become the ‘Thought Leader’ for Women & Girls Cricket
- Provide expertise on Women & Girls cricket landscape to underpin SCF work

Participation & Marketing Collaboration
- Monitor all Women & Girls participation metrics and launch initiatives based on findings
- Work with the Marketing & Communications Officer to produce engaging social and marketing content
Requirements
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Solid understanding of Women & Girls cricket
- Experience in project management (planning, execution, evaluation)
- Background in sports development
- Strong stakeholder relationship management
- Creative idea generation and implementation
- Data analysis to identify trends
- Strong communication & interpersonal skills
- Precision with attention to detail
- Effective time management
Desirable Skills & Experience:
- Passion for cricket (enthusiastic preference over requirement)
- Full UK driving licence with access to personal transport
- Previous experience coaching cricket
Certification & Legal Requirements:
- Must meet safeguarding requirements, including:
- ECB DBS clearance
- Safeguarding & First Aid certifications (or willingness to acquire these)
- Must hold or obtain the right to work in the UK
