The Role
We are looking for an experienced and ambitious Web Developer to become a key part of our long-term growth strategy. This is far more than a traditional web development role – we’re looking for someone who wants to build something, not simply maintain it.
Working primarily with WordPress, against an agreed Figma design created by our UI/UX designer, you will develop bespoke, high-quality websites using custom themes that prioritise performance, scalability, security, and exceptional user experience.
Beyond development, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the department. We want someone who embraces emerging technologies and is excited by the opportunity to introduce new ideas, tools, and processes. Whilst WordPress is currently at the heart of our web offering, we’re looking for someone who can help shape our long-term technical roadmap, evaluating emerging technologies and identifying where new approaches could enhance the products and services we deliver. You’ll have genuine influence over our technical direction and will be encouraged to develop your own vision for how the department should evolve.
As our business continues to grow, so will this role. We see this position developing into a leadership opportunity, with the successful candidate taking ownership of the web development function, mentoring future developers, helping define our service offering, and ultimately progressing into the role of Head of Web Development.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
