To support our work we are recruiting to the following role:

Work Experience - Maintenance Engineer, Walkers - Aberlour

  • Duration: 1 week with the possibility of becoming an apprentice
  • Location: Aberlour
  • Closing Date: 31st July 2026

A fantastic opportunity has become available for a work experience placement as an Engineer in our maintenance department in Aberlour. Initially the placement will be for one week with the possibility of extending, and the opportunity to complete an apprenticeship in engineering with our Aberlour Maintenance team.

You will be someone that is resilient, naturally confident and has a keen interest in mechanical and electrical engineering or technical subjects. Entry requirements are National 5/Higher preferably in Maths, English, Physics or Chemistry, Computing and if possible Technical Studies (or similar). Ideally, you’ll thrive in working as part of a team and problem-solving, as well as demonstrating a proactive “can do” attitude when carrying out your duties and responsibilities.

A successful candidate will enter an apprenticeship program and complete a HNC in Mechanical or Electrical engineering. Successful completion of the apprenticeship programme will open the opportunity to carry out further training as required.

As part of the apprenticeship application, you will be required to successfully pass an online test assessment, which covers technical comprehension and numeracy subjects. This is a mandatory requirement as per the apprenticeship application and being successful is dependent on passing this test.
