Are you a natural relationship builder who loves connecting people with opportunities?

We’re looking for a Work Experience Recruitment Officer (WERO) to join our team at Peterborough College and Stamford College. This is a permanent, full-time role (35 hours per week, all year round) that’s perfect for someone who is proactive, organised, and driven to make a real difference in students’ careers.

As a key ambassador for the college, you will expand our network of industry partners and secure high-quality work placements for our students. You’ll be instrumental in ensuring every partnership is successful, meeting both our college targets and employers’ workforce needs.

What you’ll be doing Researching, networking, and reaching out to employers to create new work placement opportunities Following up on business leads and generating new opportunities through cold calling, events, and marketing campaigns Building and maintaining strong relationships with employers, acting as the main point of contact Marketing work experience, apprenticeships, and bespoke training to employers Carrying out employer health and safety checks and ensuring compliance with group policies Maintaining accurate records and keeping our CRM system up to date Reporting on progress against KPIs and employer engagement targets Resolving any employer concerns quickly and professionally Attending college events to promote work experience opportunities

Who we’re looking for

You’ll be proactive, professional, and confident in building relationships with a wide range of people. You’ll enjoy working independently and as part of a team, have excellent communication skills, and be highly organised with a keen eye for detail.

Essential: Experience in a customer-facing role Proven ability to generate business leads and build relationships Excellent planning, organisation, and administrative skills Experience using CRM systems Full driving licence and willingness to travel between college sites Desirable: Experience working with young people and adults in education Knowledge of safeguarding and health and safety requirements
