Work Force Management Lead/Scheduler Location: Portsmouth, PO1 3LT Salary: Competitive plus excellent benefits Schedule: 6 month Fixed-Term/ FT/ 37.5 hours Ready to impact a better future? As a Work Force Management Lead/Scheduler in our Maritime Services team, you’ll help colleagues work effectively by coordinating accurate schedules and ensuring our workforce systems run smoothly. Your work will have a positive impact on our operations and help create a more efficient future for the teams that keep critical services moving. You’ll play a key role in supporting the implementation of new workforce technologies, maintaining accurate data, and ensuring colleagues have the tools and processes they need to deliver their best. This work touches lives across our operations and helps shape the future of how our teams collaborate and deliver. What you’ll do as a Work Force Management Lead/Scheduler You’ll be entrusted to: Act as the site lead for implementing Workforce Management (WFM) technology including Time2Work and Maximo SEAMS, supporting training and championing use of the tools Attend application training and champion use of tool – Key POC Provide operations administration and support relating to colleague scheduling and associated processes Update and maintain key master data that supports scheduling systems Attend training, act as a key point of contact, and assist colleagues with IT and application use Support mobile device setups as required (Corporate Accounts and UAM) and manage clock enrolment and consent forms if biometrics are used Manage staff rosters, work patterns, leave requests, training days, and absences within the system, ensuring processes are followed Liaise with the Operations Support Centre on longer‑term changes and system configuration needs Manage daily timesheets, exceptions, and support briefings and reporting needs Provide general administration support including production of MS Office documents Does this sound like you? You’ll be a great fit for this role if you have: Eligibility to obtain Security Check (SC) clearance Excellent administration and communication skills, with strong organisational and time management capabilities Experience working in an office environment and proficiency with MS Office The ability to adapt to changing environments and work effectively both independently and as part of a team Confidence communicating with colleagues and supporting others with systems and processes Strong focus on customer service, attention to detail, and confidentiality This role requires Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance, which involves verifying your identity, employment history, nationality, and criminal record to meet government security standards. In addition, depending on the nature of the role, you may need to obtain formal Security Clearance (such as CTC or SC), which includes more detailed background checks on employment, criminal record, and financial history to ensure suitability for working in secure environments. Please note that UK residency requirements may apply for certain levels of clearance. You will also complete an Occupational Health Questionnaire so we can identify and provide any support you may need to undertake the role effectively. Discover all you need to keep growing
