Work Placement Coordinator
Hours: 18.5 hours per week during term time plus five days
Salary: £12,436.18 to £12,845.82
Start Date: 01 September 2026.
Are you passionate about bridging the gap between education and employment? We are seeking a proactive, highly organised Work Placement Coordinator to take the lead in unlocking brilliant career opportunities for our young people.
In this vital role, you will be the driving force behind our T-Level and vocational work-placement programmes. You will source meaningful industry placements, build lasting partnerships with local employers, and support students including those with learning disabilities and difficulties, to thrive in the workplace.
This is a part-time role working 18.5 hours; however, pending a review during the academic year 2026 to 2027, there may be the opportunity for the role to increase to a full-time position for September 2027. The role is permanent.

Responsibilities
- To lead the sourcing, allocation, and management of T-Level and vocational work placements, ensuring students are supported and course requirements are met throughout the academic year.
Other Responsibilities Include
- Placement Sourcing & Matching: Identify and secure suitable work placements for students, including tailoring opportunities for learners with learning disabilities and difficulties to ensure equal access.
- Relationship Management: Act as the primary point of contact for employers, Senior Leadership (SLT), and departments. Proactively engage with placement providers to maintain good relations and promote further training opportunities (e.g., apprenticeships, CPD).
- Monitoring & Student Support: Conduct workplace monitoring visits, track student attendance and learning progress, handle logistics (like local transport guidance), and resolve any workplace issues.
- Compliance & Administration: Stay updated on Department for Education (DfE) T-Level guidelines, maintain accurate computerized records, update the T-Level website, and create guidelines for workplace supervisors.
- Evaluation & Collaboration: Attend team meetings, gather post-placement feedback from both employers and students, and actively promote a positive image of Post-16.
