Role: Work Placement Coordinator - Construction
Hours: 36.25 hours per week. Permanent Full-Time. (Term Time only working 37.65 weeks per year)
Salary: £26,934 - £29,505 FTE (£23,914.28 – £26,197.04 prorated)
Employer Pension Contribution: 15% FTE
Location: Stockport and Stretford Campus
The Trafford & Stockport College Group (TSCG) has an opportunity for an experienced Work Experience Coordinator to join the Careers and Employability Team to help us achieve our vision of unlocking potential for successful futures.
The Role:
- Liaise with organizations to identify and secure work experience opportunities for students in our Construction departments across Stockport and Stretford.
- Split your time between both campuses.
- Work closely with curriculum teams and managers to facilitate a well-planned work experience programme.
- Ensure work placements are recorded.
- Multitask, be organized, and have strong attention to detail.
About You:
- Passionate about building employability skills in learners.
- Eager to share your knowledge, skills, and experience.
- An organized, methodical administrator.
- Happy to research and approach businesses and promote opportunities to our learners in construction.
- Proven track record of success in the employability, recruitment, or work experience field.
- Outstanding business development skills.
- Ability to liaise effectively with employers and other agencies.
- Previous experience in identifying the knowledge and skills of learners and coaching and supporting learners to ensure they receive quality work experience placements.
- Maths and English at Level 2 or equivalent.

In certain cases, it may be appropriate to appoint to a higher point in the pay grade at the discretion of the Director of HR & Performance due to the candidate’s current salary, experience, or qualifications.
