Work Placement Tutor
£25,660 per annum
37.5 hours per week
Fixed Term to cover maternity
About The Role
- Work closely with academic departments and Employability, Skills and Careers teams to ensure student work placements are effectively coordinated, approved, and completed in line with Technical Level requirements.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with employers and stakeholders to support high-quality placement opportunities.
- Carry out pre-placement health and safety checks and conduct on-site visits to review student progress and liaise with employers.
- Monitor and track placement activity, maintaining accurate records and providing regular updates on placement approvals and progress.
- Act as a key point of contact for students and employers, providing timely support and resolving any issues that arise during placements.
- Support students and academic staff to ensure placements meet programme requirements and learning outcomes.
- Assist in the promotion and organisation of placement opportunities through events, digital platforms, and communications, ensuring compliance with data protection requirements.
About You
- Hold Level 3 qualifications or above, including an IT qualification.
- Possess a full UK driving licence.
- Have knowledge of the land-based sector, particularly Agriculture and Animal Management.
- Be self-motivated, flexible, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Demonstrate strong skills in Microsoft Word and Excel, along with good organisational ability.
- Be able to prioritise workload efficiently and understand the importance of safeguarding in a college environment.
