Work & Study Program in Hotel Management – Motel One

About the Role

Where theory meets practice—and you’re hands-on from day one.

You’re passionate about hospitality, want to study, gain applied experience, and take responsibility? Our Work & Study Program in Hotel Management is perfect for you. You’ll blend academic knowledge with real-world hotel operations to grow into a hospitality professional, working in Motel One London.


Practical Component

At Motel One, you won’t just observe—you’ll contribute actively across multiple departments during your part-time role (20–25 hours per week). Here’s how your hands-on experience will look:

  • Front Office & Reservations

    • Guest check-in/out processes
    • Communication and service excellence
  • Breakfast & Bar

    • Service procedures, standards, and guest experiences
  • Housekeeping & Quality Checks

    • Maintaining cleanliness and coordination with vendors

On top of this, you’ll have the chance to complete a four-week international internship at hotels throughout Europe.

Dodging textbook learning, you’ll apply theory immediately—collaborating with teammates, managing tasks, and leading smaller projects from Day One.


Study Program (Virtual, Internationally Accredited)

In parallel, your academic modules ground your practical experience:

  • Core subjects:

    • Business administration & hotel/Human Resources (HR) management
    • Marketing
    • IT & AI in the hospitality sector
  • Accreditation status: Bachelor of Arts in Hospitality Management (currently recognised by the state and in accreditation).

  • Duration: 7 semesters.

  • What you get access to:

    • Workshops at our Motel One Campus in Munich—the chance to meet other students and build peer connections.

Qualifications

Exceptional hospitality mindset—variable experience, ready to adapt.

  • Educational background:
    • University entrance qualification (e.g., A-levels, vocational baccalaureate) or
    • Vocational training certificate (+ three years of full-time industry experience).

    • Fluent English (required for the virtual course; hotel communication may be in the local language).
  • Must-haves: ✅ High degree of self-reliance and initiative ✅ Ability to work collaboratively and stay resilient under pressure ✅ Enthusiasm for guest-focused service—encompassing communication, empathy, and adaptability ✅ Prior hotel jo Liedation or willingness to complete a precursory internship at Motel One.
