About the Role The Workday Data Consultant is a Workday professional with experience supporting data, reporting, and operational processes within a managed services environment. As part of the AMS team, this role ensures ongoing support, maintenance, enhancement, and optimisation of Workday solutions, helping clients maximise their investment post-go-live. Ideal candidates thrive in dynamic environments, solving data challenges, supporting business users, and driving continuous improvement.
Responsibilities include:
- Serving as a Workday Data specialist, offering post-production support and guidance across multiple client engagements.
- Supporting AMS activities (incidents, service requests, enhancements, and problem resolution).
- Collaborating with clients to align business requirements with data-driven solutions.
- Analysing and resolving data-related issues impacting Workday processes and reporting.
- Supporting data loads, maintenance, and tenant management using Workday tools and best practices.
- Developing and maintaining validation, reconciliation, and monitoring processes to ensure data integrity.
- Partnering with clients to improve data quality, cleanse records, and support governance.
- Assisting with data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) for operational needs.
- Creating reports, dashboards, and data analysis tools to empower decision-making.
- Conducting root cause analysis and recommending long-term solutions.
- Identifying continuous improvement opportunities and contributing to service enhancements.
- Participating in trend analysis to optimise client processes and data quality.
- Offering Workday data management best practice expertise.
- Supporting internal tools, accelerators, and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
- Covering on-call and holiday support as required.

Skills & Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in:
- Information Technology, Business Information Systems (MIS), Business, or a related field
- Experience supporting:
- ERP, HCM, or Financial Management systems
- SaaS applications in a production support or managed services environment
- Essential:
- Workday experience (certification highly desirable)
- Experience with:
- Data conversion, data loading, data reconciliation, and data quality activities
- Strong proficiencies in:
- Microsoft Excel (handling large datasets)
- Reporting, data analysis, and business support (e.g., SQL, tools like Power BI, Tableau optional but advantageous)
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to troubleshoot data issues and identify root causes.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management in fast-paced environments.
- Ability to multitask independently while collaborating in global teams.
- UK residency requirement for security clearance:
- Must have been a UK resident for the last five years.
- Legally entitled to work in the UK.
