Interim Director, Workday Centre of Excellence

Contract: 6–12 months
Location: UK-based

We need a senior leader to stand up our Workday Centre of Excellence. You'll design the operating model, establish governance, and transition Workday from programme delivery into a fully operational BAU service—ensuring the platform is supportable from day one and set up for continuous improvement.

What You'll Do

  • Build the CoE — Define the operating model, org structure, roles and governance; recruit the permanent team
  • Lead service introduction — Operational readiness, hypercare, Service Desk integration, incident/change/release management, SLAs, runbooks, DR/BC alignment
  • Establish governance — Configuration, release, security, integrations, data quality, compliance, vendor management
  • Own the AMS strategy — Supplier selection, commercial governance, performance management; reduce external dependency over time
  • Partner with senior stakeholders — CIO, CHRO, CFO, Programme Director and leaders across HR, Finance, Tech and Ops

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
