Workday Financials Consultant - AMS (Application Managed Services)
Workday Financials AMS Consultant
An experienced professional in Workday post-production support, known for their dynamic, fast-paced work ethic and expertise in Application Managed Services (AMS) consulting. As Consultant, they must demonstrate:

Key Responsibilities

Provide post-production support across multiple Workday Financials client environments

Empower clients to enhance Financials operations, improve system functionality, and adapt configurations to current business needs

Execute daily AMS activities:
- Incident resolution
- Minor enhancements and configuration changes
- Functional troubleshooting

Support various client service models, including:
- Staff augmentation
- Ad-hoc support
- Project-based delivery

Manage and track:
- Issue escalation
- Service requests
- Risk assessment coordination

Offer expert insight on Workday Financials best practices covering:
- Configuration & security
- Business processes
- Reporting

Assess and communicate the functional and downstream impacts involved in configuration decisions

Facilitate knowledge transfer and educate clients on managing Workday Financials in a SaaS environment

Develop deep expertise in:
- Core Financials functionality
- Related modules such as:
- Expenses
- Procurement
- Projects
- Asset Management
- Accounting Center

Stay current with Workday’s product roadmap

Collaborate directly with key IT and business stakeholders to deliver solutions including:
- Requirement gathering
- Design and technical discussions
- Configuration, testing, and deployment

Mentor junior consultants to foster sustainable growth within the AMS practice

Perform additional assignments as assigned by management
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience required
- 2–5 years of Workday Financials experience
- Workday Financials certification (highly desirable)
- Practical experience in functional or technologically-focused post-go-live support
- Strong mastery of Workday Financials modules and business processes (e.g., General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Expenses)
- Experience in AMS or post-production support models considered valuable
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Thorough attention to detail and strong analytical problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple client engagements with minimal supervision
- Advanced Excel proficiency
- Eligible for SC Clearance – applicants must have:
- Been a UK resident for the last five years
- Legally entitled to work in the UK
