Overview
We are seeking an experienced Workday Reporting Specialist to support the delivery of a self-service reporting transformation programme. This contract will focus on designing, developing and deploying Workday dashboards that replace manual reporting, improve data visibility and enable business users to access reporting independently.
Working closely with Finance, HRIS/Workday teams and business stakeholders, you will translate reporting requirements into scalable dashboard solutions while ensuring governance, security and long-term sustainability.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build and deploy Workday dashboards to replace manual and recurring reports.
- Gather reporting requirements from Finance and business stakeholders, translating them into user-friendly dashboards.
- Configure Workday reporting, including calculated fields, data sources and security.
- Deliver pilot dashboards, collect user feedback and refine solutions before wider rollout.
- Promote self-service reporting capabilities across multiple business functions.
- Collaborate with Workday SMEs to maximise platform capabilities and resolve technical challenges.
- Produce clear documentation covering dashboard ownership, data lineage and refresh schedules.
- Deliver user training and knowledge transfer to ensure long-term adoption.
- Track project progress against agreed milestones and KPIs.
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes and drive continuous improvement.

Required Skills & Experience
- Active Workday Certification (Workday Financial Reporting certification highly desirable).
- Proven experience designing and delivering complex reporting solutions within Workday.
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, including General Ledger, P&L and Balance Sheet reporting.
- Experience building self-service dashboards that reduce manual reporting effort.
- Strong knowledge of Workday reporting tools, calculated fields and security configuration.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to engage with stakeholders and translate business requirements into technical reporting solutions.
- Experience delivering reporting projects within fast-paced environments.
- Strong documentation and knowledge transfer skills.
- Experience with AI-assisted productivity tools and continuous improvement approaches is advantageous.
