Workday Solution Architect
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Workday Solution Architect to define and govern end-to-end Workday solutions across HCM, Financials, and integrations. This role is critical in ensuring alignment between business requirements, enterprise architecture, and Workday platform capabilities, delivering scalable, secure, and optimised solutions.
Location
UK-based (Hybrid/Remote with occasional client-site travel)
Clearance
Eligible for Security Clearance (SC).
Experience Required
- Minimum 8+ years of Workday experience across Financials and/or HCM
- Proven experience delivering multiple end-to-end Workday implementations across complex organisations
- Demonstrated experience in solution architecture or leading design authority on Workday programmes
- Strong experience across enterprise-scale deployments including integrations, data, and security
- Exposure to Public Sector, Government, or regulated environments (preferred)

Key Responsibilities
- Define and own the end-to-end Workday solution architecture across HCM, Financials, and integrations
- Lead architectural governance, ensuring consistency across modules and delivery workstreams
- Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and high-performing Workday solutions
- Define data architecture, including data model, reporting, and analytics strategy
- Oversee integration design, ensuring alignment with enterprise systems and APIs
- Provide strategic guidance on business transformation enabled by Workday
- Collaborate with functional, technical, and delivery teams to ensure successful implementation
Key Skills
- Deep expertise in Workday architecture, including data model, business processes, and tenant design
- Strong knowledge of both Workday HCM and Financials functional domains
- Expertise in Workday Business Process Framework, security configuration, and reporting
- Proven integration architecture experience using EIB, Core Connectors, and Workday Studio
- Strong understanding of enterprise integration patterns and middleware platforms
- Experience designing data migration and data governance strategies
- Ability to align solution design with enterprise architecture and cloud principles
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills at senior level (e.g., CIO, CFO, HR leadership)
- Experience operating within public sector or regulated environments

Preferred Technical Stack Experience
- Workday HCM and Financials modules
- Workday Integration technologies (EIB, Core Connectors, Workday Studio)
- Workday Prism Analytics and reporting frameworks
- Enterprise integration platforms such as MuleSoft or Boomi
- Data migration tooling and data governance strategies
- Workday security model and access design
- Cloud and enterprise architecture principles
Certifications Preferable
- Workday HCM Certification (active or previously held)
- Workday Financials Certification (active or previously held)
- Workday Integration Certification (Studio or Core Connectors)
- Workday Prism Analytics Certification (desirable)
- TOGAF or equivalent enterprise architecture certification (desirable)
