Are you ready to make a difference? Join us at Boots as a Workforce Operations Manager in Nottingham, Beeston, leading how we plan and invest in colleague hours across our UK & ROI stores. This is a high-impact role shaping workforce strategy, cost efficiency, and customer experience at scale.

This role sits within the Workforce Operations function at Boots and reports into the Head of Workforce Operations. You will lead a team of Workforce Analysts and play a critical role in managing payroll investment across our UK & ROI store estate, ensuring we balance cost, service, and customer experience.

What You’ll Be Doing

This is a unique opportunity to influence how we invest c.£700m+ in colleague hours, directly impacting store performance and customer experience.

In This Role, You Will

  • Own workforce planning and payroll allocation across all Boots UK & ROI stores estate
  • Lead and develop a team of Workforce Analysts, ensuring accuracy and integrity of workforce models (including ACI)
  • Model and validate payroll savings opportunities and support business case development across functions
  • Lead the Customer Driven Profiling (CDP) process, ensuring resource aligns to customer demand
  • Provide clear, insight-led reporting to senior stakeholders to support decision making
  • Drive continuous improvement in workforce planning methodologies, tools and governance

What You’ll Need To Have (our Must-haves)

  • Strong experience in workforce planning, financial modelling or labour optimisation in a large, complex business
  • Proven ability to work with large data sets and apply analytical thinking to solve business challenges
  • Experience managing or leading analysts and delivering high-quality outputs through others
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence senior leaders
  • Ability to simplify complex data into clear, actionable insights
  • Comfortable working to deadlines and managing multiple priorities

It would be great if you also have

  • Experience with workforce planning tools or models (e.g. labour models, forecasting tools, data cube structures)
  • Knowledge of retail or multi-site operations
  • Experience applying continuous improvement or lean methodologies
  • Understanding of payroll budgeting or financial planning processes
