Role Description/Purpose

The purpose of this role is to support the planning, allocation, and deployment of workforce resources required to deliver Teaching and Exams activities across a country or location. The role is responsible for managing the contracting, availability, readiness checks, and scheduling of Venue Staff, Examiners, and Teaching Assistants. It also supports teacher contracting and works closely with Delivery and Academic teams to coordinate scheduling, ensuring alignment with timetabling requirements and teaching delivery needs.

The postholder collaborates with centralised, hubbed, or outsourced workforce teams to standardise and centralise workforce administration processes. They are responsible for ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of workforce data, while supporting efficient workforce operations and resource deployment across Teaching and Exams activities.

Role Accountabilities

Join our Global Operations team and play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of Teaching and Exams services. As a Workforce Resourcing Coordinator, you will work closely with Delivery, Planning, Academic, HR, Finance, and central service teams to ensure the right people are contracted, onboarded, compliant, and deployed to meet operational commitments. You will be responsible for supporting the end-to-end coordination of Venue Staff, Examiners, and Teaching Assistants, including contracting, onboarding, availability management, readiness checks, scheduling, and deployment. In addition, you will support teacher contracting and collaborate with Delivery and Academic teams to ensure workforce plans align with timetabling and teaching delivery requirements.

In this role, you will maintain accurate workforce data and documentation, ensuring compliance with safeguarding, security, right-to-work, training, and vetting requirements. You will act as a key point of contact for workforce-related queries, providing clear communication and guidance on scheduling, onboarding, and compliance processes. Working closely with centralised, hubbed, and outsourced teams, you will help streamline workforce administration, support payment processing and working time reconciliation, and contribute to efficient workforce utilisation and cost-effective resource deployment. Education

Qualifications & Experience

Degree or equivalent experience.

Role Specific Knowledge And Experience

  • Experience coordinating secure, regulated service delivery environments (e.g., exams, logistics, or events).
  • Understanding of compliance, safeguarding, and screening requirements.
  • Strong process management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Experience supervising staff, contractors, or temporary workforce teams.

  • Language: The British Council systems and global processes operate in English. Written and verbal proficiency in English is required.

  • Annual Salary: £25,520 onwards plus London Market allowance of £3,300 if London based
