Reports to: Contracts Manager
Salary: £45,000 Plus Van
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Working Foreman to join our team working on projects across Wiltshire. This is a hands-on role where you'll be expected to lead the site team while also carrying out practical work when required.
You'll be responsible for organising day-to-day site activities, making sure work is completed safely, on programme and to the required standard. You'll also be the main point of contact on site for subcontractors, suppliers and clients, reporting regularly to the Contracts Manager.
Main Duties
- Manage the day-to-day running of construction sites.
- Work alongside the site team as required, carrying out practical construction work.
- Supervise directly employed operatives and subcontractors.
- Plan daily activities and ensure work is completed to programme.
- Ensure all work meets the required quality standards and project specifications.
- Monitor health and safety on site and ensure company procedures are followed at all times.
- Carry out site inductions and toolbox talks.
- Order materials and check deliveries.
- Keep site records up to date, including daily site diaries and health and safety paperwork.
- Identify and deal with any issues that could affect progress or quality.
- Maintain good communication with clients, consultants and the Contracts Manager.
- Ensure sites are kept tidy, secure and well organised.

Essential
Experience and Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Working Foreman or Site Supervisor.
- Good all-round construction knowledge with a practical background.
- Ability to read and work from drawings.
- SSSTS or SMSTS qualification.
- Valid CSCS card.
- Full UK driving licence.
- First Aid at Work certificate, or willingness to obtain one.

Desirable
- NVQ in a construction-related trade or site supervision.
- Experience working on refurbishment, commercial or residential projects.
- Temporary Works Awareness.
- CPCS Or NPORS Qualifications.

- Able to organise and motivate a site team.
- Practical, reliable and self-motivated.
- Good communication skills.
- Able to solve problems and make decisions on site.
- Takes pride in delivering work to a high standard.
- Flexible and willing to travel to sites across Wiltshire and the surrounding area.
