Working Foreman / Supervisor – Glasgow

Location: Hillington, Glasgow

Type: Permanent | Full-Time | Overtime Available

SMS Group is expanding, and we’re searching for an experienced Working Foreman / Supervisor to join our team in Glasgow.

If you’re a time-served Fabricator/Welder with supervisory experience, this role offers a hands-on leadership opportunity within a fast-paced marine fabrication environment.


The Role

  • Engage in hands-on fabrication work
  • Supervise and lead skilled workshop teams
  • Provide project support for shipbuilding and marine engineering initiatives
  • Ensure high-quality standards, productivity, and on-site safety

Requirements

  • Time-served Fabricator/Welder (SVQ Level 3 or equivalent required)
  • Extensive fabrication/welding and site experience
  • Proven leadership or supervisory capability
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Marine or shipbuilding experience (desirable)
  • Full UK Driving License
