Working Site Manager / Working Supervisor – Birmingham City Centre
Location: Birmingham City Centre Start Date: Monday 13th July Duration: Approx. 6 weeks Rate: £300 per shift (CIS) Hours: 8:00am – 5:00pm Payment: Weekly
About the Role
We are seeking a hands-on Site Manager / Working Supervisor for a small retail/leisure shop fit-out project in Birmingham City Centre.
This is not a large site with multiple subcontractors—we need someone comfortable with day-to-day site management while also actively contributing to practical tasks when necessary.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A strong background in carpentry or joinery
- Previous experience in shop fit, retail fit-outs, commercial interiors, or fast-paced refurbishments

The project involves converting an existing retail unit into an experience-driven food/leisure space, including:
- Demolition & structural work
- Partition walls & joinery
- Workstations & kitchen installations
- Finishing touches & making good
Key Responsibilities
- Daily site management & coordination
- Overseeing & managing subcontractors & trades
- Ensuring health & safety compliance
- Conducting site inductions & toolbox talks
- Monitoring RAMS protocols
- Providing client updates
- Assisting with demolition & partition wall installation
- Helping with carpentry, joinery, workstations & fit-out works
- Maintaining project timelines & quality standards

Requirements
- SMSTS or SSSTS qualification
- First Aid certificate
- Valid CSCS card
- Strong carpentry or joinery experience
- Previous shop fit or fit-out experience
- Hands-on approach where required
- Independent site management skills
- Excellent communication & organisational abilities
- Proactive, reliable & detail-oriented
