Job Description
LOCATION: Reading, UK
THE ROLE:
IGEL secure endpoint platform simplifies and secures the delivery of digital workspaces to access any cloud while reducing costs. The renewal business of IGEL is focused on renewing and retaining customers who use our platform to maintain IT flexibility and control, manage and secure remote endpoints quickly and easily.
To grow our renewals team, we are looking for an Intern/Working Student, Customer Retention and Renewal Specialist (m/f/d) at our location in Reading. The position offers the opportunity to gain practical experience in renewal and retention strategies in the IT industry.
TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Spend time speaking to potential customers & partners over the telephone & email, helping them to renew their existing contracts and generating new business sales.
- Identifying opportunities to offer additional products and services.
- Ensure that the renewal opportunity information in our systems is timely updated to reflect the latest status and to support accurate forecasting and process management.
- Act as liaison between customer, partner, and internal business groups to ensure smooth renewal transactions for the customer.
- Coordinate renewal activities with the customer’s sales representative when the renewal is due.
- Partner with the Customer Success Manager to be introduced to the customer at the correct point in our overall customer success model to support renewal discussions.
- Create renewal quotes specific to renewals executed through partners and resellers/distributors.
- Maintain consistent high-level knowledge of the product, version updates, and pricing as necessary to execute this role successfully.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Currently enrolled in a degree program in computer science, business informatics, or a comparable field of study or just completed studies and willing to engage in part-time work.
- You will be enrolled for at least another 6 months and be available up to 20 hours per week.
- Be energetic and have a positive approach to problem-solving.
- You will need to be able to understand customers’ needs effectively showing ownership, empathy, and resolution.
- You must be self-motivated, driven, and resilient to meet & exceed targets with the willingness to always learn.
- Strong written and verbal English skills is a must, German language skills would be a plus.
