WORKING SUPERVISOR
SEVERN TRENT
CONTRACT TYPE: PERMANENT
HOURS OF WORK: 40 HOURS, MON-FRI
CLOSING DATE: 9th August 2026
A vacancy has arisen for a Working Supervisor to join our team with Severn Trent Frameworks.
The Working Supervisor role exists to provide supervision of small teams of staff to carry out engineering projects to plan within the STW Framework and engineering team of Hargreaves Industrial Services. Ensuring that the work is delivered to a high quality, safely within the constraints of the programme and cost plan.
The role briefly encompasses the following duties:
- Responsible for day to day operational duties of the team
- Responsible for safe deployment of team - all elements of health, safety and quality to be maintained
- Ensure the work is completed to a high standard
- Communicate with Clients and HIS Framework and Project Manager on progress or any issues arising
- Assist in promoting a proactive safety culture on all projects to drive for zero harm culture
- Assist in delivering project on time
- Identify efficiencies and innovation where possible
- Assist in the information needed for key project tools such as inspection and test plans, project programmes and risk registers.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills/experience/attributes:
- Minimum Of Five Years' Experience In Supervising Staff
- Mechanical or electrical formal qualifications through the apprenticeship route
- Supervisory Skills And Experience
- FLT licence preferable
- CDM Awareness Training
- Welding/rigging & slinging/confined space trained preferable
- Set team to work safely including all safety paperwork, RAMS, POWRA etc
- Ability to oversee project work to completion
- Strong communication skills at all levels
- Positive attitude to safety
- Strong team player
- Innovative
- Flexible approach to work
- Tolerate diverse personalities
- Ability to work well under pressure and to timescale
