About The Role
Workplace Experience Lead
As the Workplace Experience Lead (WEX), you’ll own and elevate Cleo’s workplace and employee experience across the organisation. Your mission is to design inclusive environments where employees thrive—feeling connected, empowered, and celebrated at every stage of their journey.
This hands-on, strategic role blends workplace operations, employee engagement, project ownership, and cultural leadership. You’ll partner with People, IT, Operations, and business leaders to deliver seamless workplace experiences while driving initiatives that strengthen engagement, culture, and working practices.
Critical considerations: This is a leadership role that requires both big-picture thinking and execution focus.
Key Responsibilities
Workplace Operations

Oversee day-to-day workplace experience, ensuring offices are safe, welcoming, and efficient.

Manage vendor/facilities relationships and workplace budgets, monitoring spend intelligently.

Establish and refine operational processes, standards, and service levels.

Serve as the first escalation point for workplace issues, driving swift resolutions.

Design, delivery, and management of employee experience initiatives, such as:
- Onboarding experiences
- Recognition programs
- Wellbeing strategies
- Career celebrations
- Hybrid/in-office engagement activities

Own and implement the annual workplace and employee experience calendar.

Lead the planning/execution of company-wide events, team activities, and cultural initiatives.

Foster partnerships with management and executives to enhance engagement and recognition.

Build inclusive experiences catering to both in-office and hybrid employees.

Projects & Continuous Improvement
- Scalable project ownership, including office improvements, relocations, and large-scale events.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, stakeholders, and communication.
- Act on employee feedback to continuously improve workplace experiences and programs.
- Track and report KPIs to measure impact and identify growth opportunities.
Leadership & Stakeholder Collaboration

Guide WEX team members while upholding high standards of service excellence.

Build strong relationships with People, IT, Operations, and business leaders.

Influence decisions and drive workplace initiatives that align with Cleo’s goals and culture.

Own high-impact initiatives, ensuring measurable outcomes.

Ensure reliable operational effectiveness in tasks like:
- Office support: Maintain hygiene, supplies, and a polished workspace.
- Visitor management: Coordinate drop-ins, logistics, and security.
- Event support: Assist with setup, deliveries, room preparation, and in-office events.
- New hire onboarding: Prep desks, coordinate logistics, and ensure smooth first-day experiences.
- Recognition initiatives: Handle small gifts, cards, and "surprise & delight" moments.
- Ticketing support: Address basic enquiries, escalate complex issues, and perform admin tasks.
- Project assistants: Contribute to lower-complexity initiatives over time.
What We’re Looking For

5+ years’ experience in Workplace Experience, Office Management, Employee Engagement, Facilities Management, or Operations.

Proven track record of leading workplace projects, events, or initiatives:
- Improving physical/ Employee experience
- Budget management
- Vendor relationships
- Cross-functional coordination

Organisation & project management strengths to juggle competing priorities.

Balanced skill set in strategic foresight and hands-on execution.

Exceptional communication and relationship-building abilities.
-
Commitment to exceptional employee experiences for all backgrounds.
