Workshop Operative (Access)

We’re looking for a Workshop operative (access) to help us keep our fleet in excellent condition and ready for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect, maintain, and repair our MEWP hire fleet
  • Carry out LOLER inspections and keep accurate records
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and hydraulic faults
  • Clean, prepare, and rebrand equipment for customers
  • Maintain a safe, tidy, and organised workshop

Essential:

  • Experience or qualifications in powered access (CAP, IPAF) preferred, however not essential for the right candidate as training offered
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic knowledge
  • Ability to read and work with schematics
  • Familiarity with a range of access equipment and manufacturers
  • Practical, methodical, and hands-on approach
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Confident with paperwork and basic IT systems (MS Office)
  • Reliable, hard-working, and detail-oriented
  • Willing to learn and develop within a growing company
