Workshop Fitter
Location: Redditch
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
About the Role
We are looking for a skilled and motivated Workshop Fitter to join our team at our HQ in Redditch. Working within our workshop, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing a wide range of forklifts and warehouse equipment, ensuring machines are prepared to the highest standard and returned to service safely and efficiently. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong mechanical skills who enjoys problem-solving and takes pride in delivering quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on forklifts and material handling equipment.
- Diagnose and rectify mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
- Perform inspections and prepare equipment for customer delivery.
- Complete all work in line with health and safety procedures.
- Accurately complete job sheets and service records.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure workshop efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.

About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience repairing and maintaining forklifts, plant machinery, agricultural equipment, HGVs or similar machinery.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with fault-finding skills.
- Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical and diesel systems.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A positive attitude and strong attention to detail.
- A full UK driving licence (preferred or essential, depending on your requirements).
