About the Role

We are seeking a Workshop Manager (M/W) based in:

  • Location: Bridgwater (UK)

Responsibilities

The Workshop/Warehouse Manager will oversee all operations related to the prefabrication, storage, and dispatch of HVAC ductwork components, supporting the Hinkley Point C nuclear site construction. The primary focus is ensuring the efficient delivery and erection of HVAC systems within a quality, safety, and timely supply framework for construction teams.

  • Manage day-to-day operations in:

    • Workshop production of HVAC duct prefabrication
    • Warehouse management of materials logistics (delivery from suppliers to site and client warehouse)
  • Coordinate all external logistics, particularly focusing on deliveries outside the UK.

  • Plan, organize, and control fabrication workflows to align with project timelines and quality standards.

  • Lead and supervise a team of fitters, ensuring technical and operational excellence.

  • Implement and enforce strict compliance with:

    • Health & safety regulations
    • Security protocols
    • Nuclear industry standards within workshop and warehouse operations.
  • Drive continuous improvement to:

    • Optimize workshop productivity
    • Enhance safety performance
    • Streamline logistics efficiency
  • Manage resource allocation, including:

    • Manpower planning
    • Equipment maintenance
    • Tooling requirements
  • Maintain detailed records of:

    • Workshop activities
    • Inspections
    • Dispatch logs to support project reporting and audit requirements.

  • Previous experience in a comparable role, preferably within the nuclear industry or high-regulated sectors.

  • Strong background in:

    • HVAC systems
    • Team leadership (within industrial or construction environments).
  • Demonstrated capabilities in:

    • Organizational and communication skills
    • Problem-solving in fast-moving, high-stakes environments
  • Compliance mindset with emphasis on:

    • Nuclear safety standards
    • Quality protocols
  • Ability to thrive in a demanding, safety-critical environment that requires:
