With over 50 years of experience, Axima delivers end-to-end solutions from engineering to maintenance for nuclear facilities, covering new builds, modifications, and decommissioning preparation.
About the Role
We are seeking a Workshop Manager (M/W) based in:
- Location: Bridgwater (UK)
Responsibilities
The Workshop/Warehouse Manager will oversee all operations related to the prefabrication, storage, and dispatch of HVAC ductwork components, supporting the Hinkley Point C nuclear site construction. The primary focus is ensuring the efficient delivery and erection of HVAC systems within a quality, safety, and timely supply framework for construction teams.

Manage day-to-day operations in:
- Workshop production of HVAC duct prefabrication
- Warehouse management of materials logistics (delivery from suppliers to site and client warehouse)

Coordinate all external logistics, particularly focusing on deliveries outside the UK.

Plan, organize, and control fabrication workflows to align with project timelines and quality standards.

Lead and supervise a team of fitters, ensuring technical and operational excellence.

Implement and enforce strict compliance with:
- Health & safety regulations
- Security protocols
- Nuclear industry standards within workshop and warehouse operations.

Drive continuous improvement to:
- Optimize workshop productivity
- Enhance safety performance
- Streamline logistics efficiency

Manage resource allocation, including:
- Manpower planning
- Equipment maintenance
- Tooling requirements

Maintain detailed records of:
- Workshop activities
- Inspections
- Dispatch logs to support project reporting and audit requirements.
Technical & Cultural Requirements
Candidates should ideally have:

Previous experience in a comparable role, preferably within the nuclear industry or high-regulated sectors.

Strong background in:
- HVAC systems
- Team leadership (within industrial or construction environments).

Demonstrated capabilities in:
- Organizational and communication skills
- Problem-solving in fast-moving, high-stakes environments

Compliance mindset with emphasis on:
- Nuclear safety standards
- Quality protocols

Ability to thrive in a demanding, safety-critical environment that requires:
