Workshop Manager (M / W)

With over 50 years of experience, we deliver end-to-end solutions covering engineering, maintenance, new builds, modifications, and decommissioning preparation.
The Role: Workshop Manager (M / W)
Location: Bridgwater (UK)
As Workshop/Warehouse Manager, you will lead and optimise operations related to the prefabrication, storage, and dispatch of HVAC ductwork components, critical for the Hinkley Point C nuclear site construction.
Your key objectives include supporting:
- Efficient delivery and erection of HVAC systems on the construction site
- Quality, safety, and timely supply of components to site teams

Key Responsibilities

Operational Management
- Oversee day-to-day activities of the workshop and warehouse, focusing on HVAC duct prefabrication and logistics (supplier deliveries and site distribution)
- Coordinate external deliveries across the UK

Workflow Coordination
- Plan, organise, and control fabrication workflows to meet project timelines and quality standards

Team Leadership
- Supervise and mentor a team of fitters

Safety & Compliance
- Enforce strict health, safety, security, and nuclear compliance policies within workshop and warehouse operations

Process Optimisation
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimise workshop productivity, safety performance, and logistics efficiency

Resource Management
- Manage manpower planning, equipment maintenance, and tooling requirements

- Maintain detailed records of workshop activities, inspections, and dispatch logs for project reporting and audits
Your Profile
Ideal candidates will possess:
- Relevant experience in a similar managerial role, preferably within the nuclear or highly regulated industrial sector
- Strong expertise in HVAC, complemented by industrial construction or team management experience
- Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to nuclear safety and quality standards
- Proactivity, structured work ethic, and resilience for a demanding safety-critical environment
