Summary of vacancy

We’ve got a great opportunity to join us as a Workshop Supervisor. Responsible for looking after our team of HGV Technicians we’re looking for an established supervisor or an experienced technician who has the aptitude and desire to take on a new challenge.

About The Role

  • Location: Preston
  • Salary: £56,352.88 per annum
  • Working: 45 hours per week
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8.00 am to 5.30 pm
  • Benefits:

What will I be doing?

With an eye for detail and a passion for excellence as the supervisor to our team of HGV Technicians you’ll be hardworking with a commitment to the highest standards of vehicle safety.

Day To Day You Will

  • Be responsible for Job allocation to the team of technicians
  • Conduct Vehicle QC checking and spot checks
  • Work with our transport departments on vehicle availability
  • Prioritize work to meet demands of the business
  • Ensure cost control on parts and external maintenance
  • Carry out equipment checks in line with policy
  • Manage health and safety, near miss reporting

What You’ll Bring To The Role

  • Previous experience in a supervisory/team leader role is preferred
  • A great communicator who can act as the bridge between the workshop and the office
  • Your calm nature and methodical approach help you easily work under pressure
  • A natural problem solver
  • You’ll have great computer skills
  • A Class one licence is advantageous
