Reimagine What’s Possible
We are looking for a Workshop Technician in Worcester, focusing on the refurbishment, modification and testing of equipment required for Air Products Customer Installation.
What will you do?
- Processing of all Work Order equipment preparation to meet the requests assigned to the Worcester Workshop
- Timely and accurately preparation of Cryogenic Storage Tanks and subsequent pipework and ancillary equipment for customer orders.
- Undertake mechanical installation, testing and refurbishment of pressure pipework and associated components on cryogenic tanks and record keeping of associated paperwork.
- Timely and accurately pick parts and equipment to replenish workbench Kanban and to ensure equipment preparation can be completed to meet customer demand dates.
- Complete failure reports on equipment
- Assembly of and refurbishment of Nitrogen Generators, compressors and associated equipment and record keeping of relevant paperwork
- Organizing of tank refurbishment work and job reporting to workshop supervisor
- Carry out Oxygen Cleaning activities to equipment as required
- Ensure compliance to all requisite and demonstrate understanding of fundamentals of cryogenic applications.
- Assist with investigations as part of Returns/Complaints processes to identify common failure modes of equipment or to highlight customer errors in use of equipment
- Contribute to Continuous Improvement Events within the department
- Assist with Facility Planned Maintenance tasks as requested by the Workshop Supervisor

What are we looking for?
- Basic Mechanical Engineering experience including; pipework, fitting, pneumatics, fabrication, welding, soldering, brazing disciplines
- Basic understanding of pressure vessels and associated components – safety devices, regulators, valves etc
- Basic electrical knowledge
- Strong communication skills
- Logical problem solver
- Able to work effectively within a team and as an individual
Desirable but not essential as training will be provided:
- Forklift Truck License
- Overhead Cranage Operation License
