Job Opportunity

We are now looking for a Workshop Technician to join our Engine Services Team. The position is permanent and located in Segensworth, Fareham, United Kingdom.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Executing daily workshop service tasks: Inspections/overhauls, reconditioning, modification, testing, cleaning, and machining on a variety of 4-stroke engine components. The role requirements are varied and suitably challenging to keep this role interesting.
  • Operating heavy lifting machinery: Forklifts, overhead cranes.
  • Undergoing appropriate training: Gain the competencies needed to excel in this role.
  • Producing accurate digital reports and records: Building service reports and records as you work with our new digital solution.
  • Liaising closely with the Workshop Senior Technician and other Workshop Technicians: Ensure work scopes are kept within the specified delivery schedule.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards: All activities in the workshop and on-site must adhere to site safety rules and the Company’s Health and Safety standards, as well as ISO 9001/2015 quality standards.
  • Playing an integral part in the workshop team: Strive to achieve common goals and meet customer requirements, which may require working overtime hours.
  • Carrying out proactive preventative maintenance tasks: Ensure the ongoing reliability of our equipment.
  • Performing all tasks to ensure maximum stakeholder satisfaction: Both internal and external stakeholders.

What You Will Need

  • A vocational education in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven technical knowledge and experience with mechanical assembly procedures in a maintenance, repair, and overhaul service environment.
  • The ability to read and understand technical drawings and instructions.
  • Familiarity with precision measuring equipment.
  • Knowledge of repair procedures: Such as welding and machining.
  • A genuine interest in engineering and hands-on work.
  • A desire to continuously improve and effect positive change to push our team forward.

What We Require

  • Have the right to work in the United Kingdom.
  • Commute daily to Segensworth, Fareham.
