The Workshop Technician role at Beck Evans is a full-time, on-site position based in Sidcup. The Workshop Technician will carry out routine servicing, maintenance, and mechanical repairs on a range of prestige and luxury vehicles, ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards.

Daily Responsibilities

  • Diagnosing faults
  • Using diagnostic equipment
  • Performing mechanical and electrical repairs
  • Preparing vehicles for sale or customer collection

The role involves maintaining accurate service records, following workshop procedures, and working closely with the sales and service teams to support efficient vehicle turnaround. The Workshop Technician will also help maintain a clean, safe workshop environment and contribute to continuous improvement in processes and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

  • Strong skills in vehicle servicing, mechanical repairs, and fault diagnosis for a range of modern and prestige vehicles.
  • Experience with diagnostic tools, basic electrical systems, and interpreting technical data and service manuals.
  • Ability to follow workshop procedures, complete accurate documentation, and meet safety and quality standards.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills, with a professional approach to working with colleagues and customers.
  • Relevant automotive qualifications (e.g., NVQ or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair) and proven workshop experience.
  • Full, valid driving licence; experience with premium brands is beneficial.
  • Strong attention to detail, reliability, and the ability to manage workload in a fast-paced environment.
