Workshop Technician

Workshop Technician at Decathlon UK

International. Sport-passionate. Collaborative team members. Stronger together through our driving force to bring people together through sports to make wellbeing accessible for all.

At Decathlon UK, we offer Careers That Let You Play. As part of the DECATHLON Group, one of the world's largest sports retailers headquartered in France, we specialise in creating and distributing sports products through online and physical stores across 56 countries with over 1,700 locations. With over 40+ stores in the UK, our mission is to be the spirited champion of sports and healthier living in the nation.

About the Role

As a Workshop Technician, you are one of the key reasons our customers return to Decathlon.

Your role involves providing a high level of diagnosis and timely repairs or service across a mix of sports products, particularly bikes (circa 85%), to meet customer expectations. You’ll help customers extend the life of their sports products, ensuring they continue performing optimally.

No day will be the same: diagnosing, quoting, and repairing products while delivering the best possible customer experience. Our workshops serve as the hub of sustainability in our stores—you’ll play an integral part in reducing our environmental impact by recycling and repairing defective sports products before giving them a second life.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
