Workshop Technician – On-Site Role in Andover
The Workshop Technician is a full-time, on-site position based in Andover, with responsibility for servicing, maintenance, and repair of motorhomes.
Key Duties
- Conduct daily safety inspections and pre-delivery checks to ensure vehicles are road-legal and customer-ready.
- Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults, including wiring, lighting systems, and powertrain issues.
- Perform regular servicing, maintenance, and repairs, maintaining vehicles to manufacturer standards.
- Work closely with sales and customer service teams to present motorhomes in excellent condition, functional, and compliant with specifications.
- Maintain detailed service records and liaise with internal teams on vehicle preparation anddisplays.
- Upkeep of workshop cleanliness, equipment, and stock organisation.
- Assist with setting up motorhomes for showroom demos or customer tours.
- Occasionally support temporary site deliveries or vehicle movements, including towing where necessary.

Must-Have Qualifications & Skills
- Technical know-how in vehicle or leisure industry maintenance, covering:
- Mechanical fault-finding and repairs
- Electrical system troubleshooting and fixes
- Proficiency with workshop tools, equipment, and adherence to safety protocols.
- Ability to follow precise service procedures and maintain consistent standards.
- Attention to detail, particularly in vehicle presentation and finish quality.
- Strong collaboration skills—works effectively with colleagues and engages professionally with customers.

Desirable Necessities (But Not Mandatory!)
- Full UK driver’s licence (failure to hold one is disqualifying). Towing experience is a plus but can be trained in.
- Experience in caravan, motorhomes, automotive, or related sectors (fresh technical aptitude applicants also considered).
- Organisational skills: time management, record-keeping, meeting deadlines.
- Willingness to undertake training (e.g., industry qualifications) to advance technical expertise.
