up to £50,000, 4-day week, Bedfordshire

up to £50,000 (DOE) + profit share bonus + Vitality healthcare + 31 days holiday + ongoing training.

Shift

Twilight Shift: Monday-Thursday 2:30pm-1:00am. So, 4-day week!

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a Workshop Technician to join a growing and successful commercial vehicle business. You'll be responsible for carrying out mechanical repairs, servicing, maintenance and inspections on a range of specialist trailers, commercial vehicle equipment and associated machinery, working alongside an experienced team in a well-equipped workshop.

Whether you're already an experienced Workshop Technician or have transferable experience working on trailers, commercial vehicles, agricultural machinery, plant equipment or industrial machinery, this business will invest in your ongoing training and development.

Your Background

Previous experience as a Workshop Technician, Mechanical Technician, Engineering Technician, Mechanical Fitter, Vehicle Technician or maintaining mechanical equipment, commercial vehicles, agricultural or industrial machinery.

  • Strong mechanical fault-finding, repair and maintenance skills.
  • Welding and fabrication experience would be advantageous.
  • A practical, hands-on approach with good attention to detail and a positive team attitude.
  • You will ideally hold a relevant level 3 qualification.

Workshop Technician Responsibilities

  • Carrying out major and minor repairs on specialist trailers and commercial vehicle equipment.
  • Servicing, maintaining and inspecting trailers across a range of makes and models.
  • Completing preventative maintenance activities, inspections and safety checks.
  • Carrying out welding and fabrication work where required.
  • Maintaining accurate records of repairs, inspections and vehicle history.
  • Completing relevant paperwork, documentation and supporting warranty claims where required.

Location

This Workshop Technician role is commutable from Milton Keynes, Leighton Buzzard, Buckingham, Towcester, Northampton, Bedford & surrounding areas.
