We specialise in the application of innovative solutions to engineering problems. We are dedicated to the design and manufacture of balance tooling and associated equipment for the aerospace industry, supplying satisfied customers worldwide, including Rolls-Royce plc, GE Aerospace, Pratt & Whitney and Safran.

We are looking for a Workshop Technician to join our small, skilled team. This is a varied, hands-on role within a demanding design and manufacturing environment, where precision and quality are paramount. The successful candidate will be involved in the inspection, assembly and handling of high-precision tooling while supporting the day-to-day running of the workshop.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings to determine inspection requirements.
  • Inspect precision components using measuring equipment such as a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) and Vertical Height Gauge.
  • Produce accurate inspection reports for individual components.
  • Assemble precision tooling and components to extremely tight tolerances.
  • Operate jib cranes and other lifting equipment safely to move tools and components around the workshop.
  • Carry out a variety of workshop tasks as required to support production and business needs.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have experience using inspection and measuring equipment, particularly a CMM and/or Vertical Height Gauge.
  • Be able to read and understand engineering drawings.
  • Demonstrate excellent attention to detail and take pride in producing high-quality work, as our products are manufactured to extremely high tolerances.
  • Be flexible and willing to undertake a range of workshop duties as required.
  • Be comfortable operating jib cranes or have experience using lifting equipment (training can be provided if necessary).
  • Be a reliable, hardworking team player with a positive attitude and a willingness to contribute to all aspects of a busy engineering environment.
