The Workshop Technician

A full-time, on-site role based in Andover, responsible for the servicing, maintenance, and repair of motorhomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily safety checks, diagnose faults, and carry out mechanical and electrical repairs to ensure motorhomes operate efficiently.
  • Prepare caravans to a high standard for customer collection, delivery, or demonstration, ensuring they are clean, functional, and compliant with specifications.
  • Work closely with sales and customer service teams to maintain consistency and professionalism in presentation.
  • Maintain accurate service records and adhere to health and safety procedures.
  • Operate workshop tools and equipment efficiently to deliver high-quality work within deadlines.
  • Assist with the setup of caravans for demonstrations and occasionally support site deliveries or movements.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven technical skills in caravan, vehicle, or leisure industry maintenance, including mechanical and electrical fault-finding/repair.
  • Experience using workshop tools and equipment, with strong knowledge of safety procedures and established service/inspection processes.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, particularly in presentation, cleanliness, and adhering to high standards.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, enabling collaboration with colleagues and professional customer interactions.
  • Strong organisation and time management abilities, with proficiency in record-keeping and deadline-driven work.
  • Full UK driving licence required; towing experience or willingness to train for caravan movements is an advantage.
  • Previous experience in caravan, motorhome, automotive, or related workshops is desired but not mandatory for candidates with strong technical aptitude.
