Join Rubberatkins and help develop the next generation of high-performance elastomer solutions.

Rubberatkins is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Workshop Testing Technician to join our team in Aberdeen. This hands-on role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and testing of innovative elastomer products designed for demanding high-pressure, high-temperature (HPHT) applications.

Working closely with our R&D Engineers, you will play a key role in assembling and maintaining test systems, carrying out testing programmes, and helping to ensure our products meet the highest standards of quality, performance, and reliability.

We are seeking an individual with experience in pressure testing or a similar engineering environment, who can confidently interpret engineering drawings, technical procedures, and test requirements. You will bring a practical, hands-on approach to problem-solving, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook, is essential. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
