We are seeking a talented and gifted worship leader who can lead and develop the musical worship of Haven Green Baptist Church, to help us fulfil our mission of encouraging people from many backgrounds in connecting with God for the journey of life.
Hours: 15- 20 hours/ week including Sundays, and some Saturday, day, and evening work
Responsibilities Include
- Leading and developing band-led sung worship at our 10:30am service and other gatherings in person and on-line to facilitate an encounter with God that suits the diverse nature of the church.
- Recruiting and mentoring volunteer worship leaders and team members (including young people) and developing their talents and gifts.
- Encouraging, facilitating and developing all forms of worship both contemporary and traditional in regular services and special events.
- Utilising and expanding the use of a wide range of musical instruments (and instrumentalists).
- Facilitating weekly worship practices. Hold regular worship team meetings for prayer and worship.
- Supporting the sound tech team with equipment set up and output quality.
- Liaising with the service leaders and speakers in planning worship.
- Undertaking appropriate administrative tasks related to the role including rotas.
- Being involved in the wider life of Haven Green.
- Other responsibilities/tasks as required by the Pastor.

The Worship Team Leader is a new role for Haven Green and we are excited to be looking for someone to develop our worship in ways that will enable our diverse community to encounter Jesus and draw others in to worship Him. - Shortlisted candidates will be asked to provide at least two references: one of whom can vouch for your technical musical abilities and the other who can attest to your Christian commitment. References will be taken up prior to the appointment, including a safeguarding reference where appropriate.
