Summerhill's Little Treasures – Childcare Worker
Key Purpose
To actively participate in the operational delivery of high-quality play and care provision for children aged 5–11 years. To deliver stimulating activities while engaging with children in a safe and nurturing environment. To build strong working relationships with parents, carers, and external professionals to promote children’s well-being.
Main Activities
- Daily Activities & Supervision
- Plan and implement engaging, age-appropriate activities to meet the needs of each child.
- Provide safe supervision, including escorting children where necessary to ensure their welfare.

Club Maintenance & Safety
- Maintain the club to an agreed hygiene and cleanliness standard.
- Report any concerns about children, parents, equipment, or safety to the Childcare Manager, while preserving confidentiality.

Food Handling & Hygiene
- Uphold high food hygiene standards in line with Safer Food, Better Business guidance.
- Serve meals provided by the school’s external caterers.

Record-Keeping & Compliance
- Ensure all relevant records (attendance, safeguarding logs, etc.) are accurately maintained.
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions as requested.

- Log and address safeguarding concerns in accordance with the school’s Safeguarding Policy.
