Senior Editorial Content Producer/Production Editor

(Limited-Time Opportunity)

Role Overview

This strategic and creative role focuses on ideation, original content development, and CMS publishing, ensuring engaging, high-quality experiences for fans by developing long-form features, breaking news articles, and interactive quizzes. Responsibilities include:

  • Writing and producing compelling editorial content
  • Programming website content domains
  • Integrating seamlessly with editorial planning, performance analytics, and cross-team collaboration

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation & Strategy

  • Support monthly editorial planning by leveraging audiencia performance data to:
    • Recommend content opportunities across evergreen features, franchise artwork, and partner marketing campaigns for manager approval.
    • Proactively resurface, update, or repurpose content to align with audience needs and analytic insights.
  • Develop original editorial content (features, news articles, quizzes) for diverse fan segments, from casual to avid fans.
  • Generate creative approaches for new content formats and trends, informed by:
    • Cultural shifts and digital trends
    • Audience behaviour patterns
    • Historical content performance

Website Development & CMS

  • Program key areas of the website to enhance UX and ensure timely, accurate publication of content.
  • Publish articles and quiz assets in our CMS, managing:
    • Monthly profile page updates
    • Editorial content records in Airtable
  • Source approved imagery and video assets via designated content libraries for editorial needs.

Collaborative & Cross-Team Support

  • Partner with Legal and TBP to ensure content compliance with COPPA and HFSS policies while maintaining editorial intent.
  • Support interviews and live event coverage, producing timely, manager-approved output.
  • Monitor performance metrics, share insights, and provide real-time updates to inform editorial strategy.
  • Align with Social Media and CRM teams to amplify content and ensure cross-platform synergy.

Brand & Accessibility

  • Maintain a deep understanding of the brand’s editorial style guidelines, offering informed recommendations for refinements.
  • Ensure all content adheres to established brand standards and quality benchmarks.

Decision-Making Responsibilities

  • Independently develop and approve individual content concepts—including writing, asset selection, and CMS implementation.
  • Participate in monthly planning sessions to determine:
    • Content calendar priorities
    • Feature and quiz schedules
    • Resurfacing strategies
  • Guide significant editorial shifts, including programming revisions and article best-practice updates.
  • Finalise approvals for:
    • Tent-pole monthly features
    • Weekly quizzes
    • Tier 1 partner content

Requirements

Work Experience

  • Minimum 5 years in an editorial (writing, production, or digital content) roles.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., journalism, communications, English) OR equivalent professional experience.

Soft Skills

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication, able to engage confidently with:
    • Internal stakeholders (editors, managers, legal team)
    • External vendors or third-party contributors
  • Strong collaboration, agile workflow management, and ability to:
    • Multitask under pressure
    • Meet tight deadlines in fast-paced environments
    • Initiate and manage content projects end-to-end
  • Attention to detail with experience handling confidential and sensitive information.

Technical Competencies
