Yard Assistant
MA (Maintenance Assistant) – Industrial Warehouse

About the Role
In this role, you will work as part of our external team in our industrial warehouse, covering essential operational tasks to support smooth operations.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Assisting customers in a timely and helpful manner
- Providing excellent customer service both in-person and over the phone
- Loading and unloading vehicles efficiently and safely
- Picking, checking, and preparing orders to meet deadlines
- Storing stock safely in designated areas
- Maintaining a tidy and safe working environment at all times
- Promptly reporting any hazards or concerns to line managers

Note: This role will involve working alternate Saturday mornings.
Qualifications & Requirements
Preferred/Recommended:
- A Counterbalance Forklift License (assistance with acquiring one may be provided)
- A full UK driving license (advantageous but not mandatory)
- Prior experience in the building/retail industry would be beneficial
Essential:
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with customers
- A positive attitude, teamwork mindset, and strong work ethic
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Basic comprehension of health & safety protocols
- Ability to lift up to 20kg confidently and safely (tasks may require bending, stretching, and repetitive movements)
