We are currently recruiting a Yard Operative
To join our team at our U-Pull-It Operation Centre, in York, YO41 1HS.
Working Hours
7.30am-5pm Monday to Friday.
Every fourth weekend (Saturday 8am to 5pm and Sunday 9am to 3pm)

'U-Pull-It' is part of Copart UK Limited. It is a unique self-service parts and breaker company, offering thousands of vehicles and providing exceptional value for money in the recycled parts market. Our extensive inventory across our two locations in York and Inverkeithing offers our customers the opportunity to source the car parts they need, at great value.
Role Overview
As a Yard Operative, you will be responsible for de-polluting, dismantling, stripping and removing parts from vehicles, maximising profitability for the yard. You will ensure daily checks are completed on the plant and machinery and report any defects, so that repairs can be actioned. You will operate the various items of plant and machinery we have on site safely, whilst following HSE policies and Company Guidelines. You will also provide basic site maintenance, including cleaning, basic repair and yard upkeep.

Salary
The salary for this position is £30,057 per annum.
What we need from you
- Be able to operate basic yard machinery
- Excellent communication skills
- A basic mechanical knowledge of cars
- Good attention to detail
- Reliable, enthusiastic and comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment
Forklift truck experience would be an advantage but not essential, as training will be provided, along with other workshop and machinery training.
