Site Based - Eurocell Recycle - Ilkeston

What Our Yard Operatives Do
- Safely load and unload lorries using appropriate equipment (e.g. forklift, telehandler)
- Ensuring materials are handled correctly and paperwork is completed accurately
- Move, sort and process recyclable materials including metals, plastic, wood and general waste
- Maintain a clean, organised and hazard free yard environment, including designated storage areas and traffic routes
- Direct and control vehicle movements on site to ensure safe access and egress, prevent congestion, and maintain compliance with site traffic plans
- Operate machinery and tool safely and efficiently, reporting faults or maintenance needs promptly

What We Need From Our Yard Operatives

- Experience in a yard, warehouse or recycling environment (preferred)
- Valid Counter Balance license (required)
- Awareness of traffic management and vehicle safety procedures
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable, punctual and safety conscious
- Heavy lifting is a part of this role
