Yard Operative – Worksop, S80 3AT
Role Summary
Days/Hours: 40 hours per week (6:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday to Thursday) Location: Worksop, S80 3AT Hourly Rate: £15.85 per hour (DOE)
Our fast-paced yard needs a hardworking, hands-on Yard Operative to keep operations running smoothly. If you thrive in an active environment, we want to hear from you.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Deliver parts and materials to production areas
- Unload deliveries and store stock safely
- Maintain cleanliness across the yard, stores, and site
- Empty production bins and assist with waste management
- Support vehicle movements (following induction/training)
- Ensure all tasks are completed safely and efficiently
Person Specification & Requirements
Essential
✅ Forklift truck licence (including B2 category) – training provided is not guaranteed, so existing qualification preferred ✅ Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly in stores, goods-in, or despatch ✅ Strong understanding of Health & Safety procedures ✅ Attention to detail – critical for accurate inventory and logistics ✅ Proactive, self-motivated attitude with problem-solving skills ✅ Ability to work to deadlines in a physically demanding role
