We’re looking to welcome a Yard Operative to join our Maidstone branch. If you enjoy outdoor work, practical teamwork, and providing great customer service, we’d love to hear from you!
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Yard Operative, you’ll be at the heart of our daily operations. Here’s what your role entails:
- Assisting customers – Offering friendly, practical advice and sharing your firsthand knowledge of products.
- Handling deliveries – Managing the receipt, storage, and organisation of items in a safe and efficient way.
- Loading and unloading vehicles – Collaborating with delivery and branch teams to keep workflow smooth and on track.
- Yarding maintenance – Ensuring the yard remains safe, tidy, and secure for both customers and colleagues.

You won’t be expected to be an expert from day one—that’s our job! What we’ll look for is:
✔ A strong work ethic and the willingness to contribute as part of the team. ✔ A positive attitude and the readiness to roll up your sleeves and get hands-on. ✔ No prior forklift certification? That’s okay! While a licence is a bonus, it’s not a requirement—we’ll provide the training.
