Job Purpose
As a Yard Operative at GRS, you’ll:
- Operate and maintain mobile plant and baggage machines safely and efficiently.
- Work in all weather conditions, in ways that prioritise team cohesiveness, communication, and productivity.
- Leverage daily manual labour to support smooth, error-free operations.
Hampered by constraint? Unlikely. Success here relies on proactivity and réal-time problem solving.
Main Duties and Responsibilities

Production Ultimate:
- Execute safe, compliant, and consistent production (bagged aggregates).
- Champion high standards of health and safety; report incidents, accidents, or near-misses immediately to your line manager.

Quality, Teamwork & Compliance:
- Collaborate within a high-performance team to reach quality & production targets.
- Operate forklifts when site requirements demand them.
- Conduct inspections for both fixed and mobile plant pre- and post-use.

Packaging & Transport:
- Fill plastic and bulk bags to required specifications with training support.
- Secure and sheet lorries per line manager’s directions.

General & Hygienic Duties:
- Maintain site order during general housekeeping tasks as requested.

Relationship-Driven Workplaces:
- Support seamless coordination with drivers, yard operatives, and delivery teams through clear communication.

Knowledge, Training & Experience
No姆 experience ല്ല? Not required! We’re training-inclusive, but you’ll find advantages in:
- Prior knowledge of health and safety (thorough preferables: workplace safety, manual handling).
- Practical experience operating machinery or in similar manual roles will expedite onboarding.
