Yard Operative
Yard Operative – Chester Operations Centre (Full-Time)
Location: CH5 2QZ, Chester Contract: Permanent (Monday to Friday, no bank holiday working) Salary: £29,046 per annum
About the Role
We’re looking for a loyal and passionate Yard Operative to join our team at our Chester Operations Centre. In this role, you’ll work outdoors in varied weather conditions, handling vehicles with diligence and pride. Part of a dedicated team essential to our operations, you’ll manage service requests efficiently, ensure vehicles are stored and maintained to the highest standards, take vehicle images using a handheld device, and uphold strict deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Promptly and accurately respond to customer requests and fulfil service orders to deadlines
- Store and maintain vehicles in strict compliance with customer and company standards
- Operate a handheld device to take high-quality images of vehicles as required
- Work in all weather conditions, maintaining focus and efficiency
- Perform tasks in a fast-paced environment with strong multi-tasking abilities
- Technical/IT Component: Confident and experienced in using handheld devices and basic IT applications

Requirements
- Full valid driving licence
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Clear, both written and verbal, with strong communication
- Sharp attention to detail
- Ability to carry out multiple tasks simultaneously in a dynamic setting
- Resilience to work outdoors in all weather conditions
