Car Unloaders – 6-Month Temporary Contract
Location: Long Bennington
Contract Type: 6-month temporary
We are recruiting Car Unloaders for a temporary contract role in Long Bennington. This position involves unloading vehicles from shipping containers in compliance with strict health and safety protocols while ensuring efficiency and precision.
Prospective candidates should ideally possess strong soft skills alongside relevant experience, though qualifications are preferred over mandatory.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely unload vehicles from containers
- Remove straps and securing equipment from vehicles
- Drive or manoeuvre vehicles with care from containers to designated yard areas
- Perform all vehicle handling in strict accordance with site safety procedures
- Adhere strictly to all health and safety regulations
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Immediately report any vehicle damage or safety concerns

Requirements
- Proficiency in health and safety procedures
- Ability to work outdoors and undertake physically demanding duties
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented with a strong work ethic
- Previous experience in vehicle handling, unloading, logistics, or yard work is advantageous but not essential
- Full UK driving licence preferred
- A Counterbalance Licence (XLQZYR) would be desirable but isn’t a requirement
