Yard Customer Assistant
Location: Travis Perkins Mansfield (NG18 5GJ)

What’s it like to be a Yard Assistant?
No two days are the same in branch life, but you will be the heartbeat of our outdoor yard. Working closely with a supportive team, your main responsibilities will include:
- Customer Service: Greeting local tradespeople and DIYers, processing their orders, and building great first-name relationships.
- Yard Operations: Safely loading and unloading customer pickups, delivery trucks, and supplier vehicles outdoors.
- Stock Management: Unloading incoming building products and accurately booking them into our branch warehouse.
- Forklift Operations: Driving a forklift to move heavy materials (don’t worry if you don’t have a licence yet—we provide full training!).
- Safety First: Keeping the yard tidy, organized, and safe for your colleagues and customers.

What skills do you need?
Yard experience is a great advantage, but it isn’t essential. We are looking for the right attitude—we can teach you the rest! To be successful, you will need:
- A Full UK Drivers Licence and a realistic commute to the Mansfield branch.
- A positive, enthusiastic attitude and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
- High energy and the physical confidence to safely handle heavy, bulky building materials.
- Great communication skills and a friendly, resilient personality.
